get involved
Giving & sponsoring a child
There are actually several ways that you can get involved. The most beneficial way is to Sponsor a Child for that less than $.83 per day ($25 month). When you become a monthly sponsor you are providing much needed services and supplies to children in the Ocala National Forest who are living in rural poverty. You are enabling every child to participate in all the programs that are offered through Help Agency and SoZo Kids. If you would like to become a sponsor, please contact our Sponsorship Coordinator, Alexis (alexis.sozokids@yahoo.com) AFTER registering through the 'Sponsor A Child' button, to ensure you receive the sponsorship packet, as the website does not identify new sponsors. You can sponsor a child today by clicking here. If a sponsorship is not something you are able to do just yet, you can also simply Give a Donation. Every donation that comes in is so greatly appreciated and every dollar is maximized. Every donation that comes in is tax deductible and is distributed to the area most needed to help every child in rural poverty.

become an intern
Becoming an Intern for the Help Agency, SoZo Kids program and Salt Life Church is welcomed to those who desire to grow in ministry. Whether you are working on college courses toward a life of ministry or you just want to help in the area of compassion to the poor until you have a clear direction, this Internship is for you. With 45,000 residents living in the Ocala National Forest (many living in rural poverty) there is always an opportunity to minister, to be ministered to and there is always room for the Teenager and the College and Career person to become an Intern. If you are interested in becoming an intern, please contact Pastor David to begin the process.
Spread the Word
For years "word of mouth" has been one of the best forms of advertisement. That still holds true today. You can help with rural poverty by spreading the word about the Help Agency and it's programs like SoZo Kids. When you spread the word about the work that is being done to your friends, your place of employment, clubs, church or other organizations, you are giving an opportunity for others to be involved and help end rural poverty. You are setting the stage for the Help Agency and SoZo Kids to be invited to share what is and has been happening in the Ocala National Forest.
Speaking Engagements
Speaking to Large or Small groups of people has been one of the best ways to give people an opportunity to hear about SoZo Kids. Within these groups are people who desire and are looking for a way to give back to their community and society. Many times people just need to hear about the information that is happening around them, that they may be unaware of; this is a great way to give them that chance.
There is never any charge to have Pastor David Houck or a member of his staff to come and speak to your group. If you would like to schedule a speaking engagement for your church or organization, you can do so by contacting the Scheduling Office.
Office Hours: Monday 9am-2pm | Wednesday 9am-2pm | Friday 9am-12pm

Catering
Our Catering Life Skills program is operated through volunteers and students, which enables us to offer Culinary Arts Prep to you at NO COST. It is a place to learn the value of integrity and good work ethics. This is an opportunity for you to build a resume'. Where others won't give you employment because of lack of experience, even if you don't have plans of getting in the restaurant industry, SoZo Catering will give you that opportunity to get ahead in the work force. Being in a food service work environment, even as a volunteer or a student, you will function as if you were an employee. You can also have Sozo Kids cater an event for you with a fee. If you are interested in being a part of the catering program or catering an event, please contact Pastor David at david.saltlife@gmail.com.
