The mission of the Help Agency and the SoZo Kids program in the Ocala National Forest is to bring hope to as many children as possible. One of the ways this is being done is through Turning Point Mentor Centers. This free after school and summer program gives them the opportunity to help break the cycle of poverty and help them become productive members of society through education.

Turning Point accepts all children from grades Kindergarten through Twelfth and has dedicated themselves to the education and well-being for every child in the Ocala National Forest. Not only does Turning Point offer help with homework and tutoring in areas of struggle with that child's schoolwork, but it also provides a safe shelter to be in after school. All Turning Point Mentor Centers are staffed with volunteers that have gone through a background check to insure the safety of every child. Each day every child will receive a meal and/or snack and drink in the comfort of a building with central heat and air; flushing toilets; running water; electricity of which some of the children may not go home to. Every year each child receives free summer camp at Camp SoZo, a backpack with school supplies at the Back to School backpack event. They also receive shoes, clothes and new underwear throughout the year. These children are also given Christmas every year for themselves and their family. A ham or whole chicken with all the trimmings, 5 to 7 gifts for each child (many times includes a bike), pajamas, shoes and more.
